The Ugly Duckling is a story of a beautiful swan with an awful life till one point when his entire existence changes. This “duck” was born unfortunately into a family of ducks. I say unfortunately because he is not accepted by anyone and is rejected even by his mother. His brothers hate him and don’t want to accept him as one of they. When he goes somewhere the animals look at the ugly duckling and start to laugh or to say bad words to offend him. One day he was so sad and upset that left the farm, his siblings and his mother. In his way he encounters a group of beautiful birds and his wish is to be like they one day. He spends a whole winter alone, in the cold, but at some point he sees his reflection in the water and realizes that after all his suffering he is actually not a duck but a elegant swam, besides the ugly duckling is now considered to be the most beautiful swam in the pond.

The Ugly Duckling’s bad luck was to be born in a wrong family; as long as nobody realizes his real nature he has a miserable life. He is seen as the ugliest duck and must get rid of him. If in the first part of the story the little “duck” was ugly in the second one when he grown up is a beautiful swan, is transformed and his wish became true. At some point he hears a child who exclaimed that from all swans in the pond he is the most beautiful. When he sees first the swans he say that are “royal birds”, and now his biggest dream came true and is no more a miserable desire. Unfortunately this story seems to be present even in our society because we compare all the time a person with another even in terms of beauty. Nowadays, we are as mean as in “The Ugly Duckling”, nothing has changed, and some of the people still judge a person after his physical and his beauty face. Ugly Duckling from my point of view is a good example to follow because above all he fought to live in a cruel world and was not “killed” by the bad things the other animals did to him. This ugly duck was a strong swan who tried not to bother others with his presence; he just tried to be himself, something that today is difficult to see.

This presentation is rather lacking. You failed to identify the geographical and linguistic area of the fairy tale, its collector and year.

There is simply no analysis of the whole text. You will have to resubmit this.
