First of all, thank you all for your interest in this course. Bigger thanks still to those who read the books and were vocal enough in class.
Here's the number of points for your seminar:
Adrelean Ov....5 Bondea M...... 6.5 Boja L...........8.5 Buftea M......22.5 Ciornei..........0 Cosa A.........11.5 Grijac...........12 Irimes A........12 Herbil...........12 Hogye C.......49 Lihet I..........6 Lutas............7 Petrovai.......15.5 Santa.........9 Silvesan......1 Stan L..........0 Ster N.........27
At this point I cannot calculate these points intro grades.
However, everyone under 10 points should write an extra paper to compensate for the lack of activity. Two options:
1. A featured fragment from the Animal Tales texts you read designed to fit a virtual anthology of extracurricular texts for students. The requirements are on the kidlit.otoiu.com website. Remember that the text shoud not be longer than 2 pages, thet it should be preceded by a manual-style brief introduction, that there should be a way of explaining the vocabulary, Reading Comprehension exercises, other lexical exercises and followed by a Guide to the Teacher, and a key of the exercises. My website also features some exemples of winning papers. Please remember: we're dealing with an anthology and NOT with a Lesson Plan.
Some nice examples of such work: , or , or . (PDF files by Eva Xzapp, Razvan Suteu and Razvan GhiĊ£).
OR
2. An analysis of a film with / about animals, which should be more than a mere recounting of the narrative. It should include discussions about anthropomorphisation, naturalist aspects, wilderness/civilization, ecology, bioethics along the lines of our seminar discussions. I also expect comparisons and connections with books. Former KidLit students have put up a list of such films .
Another way to beef up (sorry for the animal verb!) your seminar grade is to post comments on the present forum.
All this counts just towards your SEMINAR GRADE. It does not excuse you from taking part in the Exam, on Friday, which will deal with the matters prisented by my lectures.
