Summary: "The Disobedient Kids" The fairy tale begins with the presentation of the characters, the mother kid and the four kids. One day the mother "was obliged" to go by herself to the pasture. Before leaving, she tells the kids she has to leave them alone for a while. The mother kid doesn't explain "the little ones" the reasons for leaving but she mentions the most important thing so as not to open the door "no matter who knocks under no conditions, no matter what happens, do not open". Also, they should open the door only when they hear her voice. The kids promise their mother they will not open the door so as the mother leaves, they suddenly shut the door. After a while a fox comes at the door, pretending to be the mother and tell the little kids to open the door because she has milk, in this way she tries to trick them. At first the kids realize that it is not their mother's voice because her voice is much thinner, so they decide not to open the door. The fox doesn't give up and comes again, this time she talks with a thinner voice but the kids don't open the door this time either. The third time when the fox knocks the door and talks with even a thinner voice than the previous one, the kids are sceptical about the voice and they begin to argue: two of them saying it's the mother kids and the other two disagree. While they are fighting and can't decide if it is the mother or not they push the door and this opens. The ambitious fox enters and "devoured"them.

Characters of fairy tale according to Vladimir Propp: The villain: the greedy fox
The Function of the fairy tale according to Vladimir Propp: Initial situation: The characters are presented first, the mother kid and the little kids- the family Departure: the mother kid leaves home Interdiction: The mother tells the kids: "Don't open the door" Violation of interdiction: the interdiction is violated- villain enters the tale, in this case, the fox Trickery: the fox deceives the kids, transforming her voice Villainy and lack: The villain causes harm or injury to the family- the fox eats up the kids
Similarities with other tales: This fairy tale is an animal tale, a story in which the roles are given to animals, which makes the narrative more attractive and interesting. In all the animal tales the fox is clever, ambitios, greedy and tricks other animal to achieve her goal. In animal fiction the world is different and viewed through non-human eyes. The animal tales are short and they emphasize everyday life: mother leaves home and the children have to stay alone. This fairy is similar to our Romanian tale'' Capra cu trei iezi" , but in this tale the villain is the wolf. In both tales the rules are broken and the consequences are vital.
