Food for thought

Just a few quotes that are to make one ‘meditate’ upon life (some of them should look nice on
T-shirts!)

‘We should all to be judged according to our works, whether they be toward man or toward beast’
‘ If you get into the habit of being quick it is just as easy as being slow’
‘ Spoiling a horse and letting him get into bad habits was just as cruel as spoiling a child and both had to suffer to it afterwards’
‘(…) but how should one know what is dangerous and what is not, if one is never allowed to get used to anything? I am never afraid of what I know ’
‘Why don’t they cut their own children’s ears into points to make them look sharp? Why don’t they cut the end of their noses to make them look plucky? What right have they to torment and disfigure God’s creatures?’
