The book was great! It has very funny moments, but also sad ones, it teaches us about gaining a friendship but also about losing it, and most important of all, it shows us that even the smallest creature has its purpose and may be very helpful at some point.

Absolutely wonderful story from many points of view: great lesson of life, nice plot, great for teaching! My students loved it and I think it can be easily used in class for different levels and for different skills. Like Adelline said it was my impression that we are going to have one of those wonderful stories about the friendship between a person and an animal. The turn that the story takes is, in my opinion not only interesting but also meant to lead us into a different world, one that we can only imagine. A world where we find out that animals are capable of feeling, of thought, of sacrifice can be something new and we shouldn't believe that this is only our territory.
