Once I heard a story about a man who complaint about the fact that he was very poor. One day a wise man came to the poor one, and asked him: How much money would you like me to give you, in change for your eyes? The poor one said he won’t give them, for all the money in the world. Then the wise man asked: What about your arms? The answer was the same. Then the wise man said: Now, do you see how rich you are? I think this is exactly what happened with Dorothy’s three friends. The Scarecrow thought he had no brain, but it fact he had one, the Tin Woodman thought he had no heart, but in fact he had one, and the lion who thought he was not courageous. I think that we are what we want to be, but we tend to forget how valuable we are. Sometimes we need someone to remind us how strong and good we are. And I agree with Simona that Dorothy is a strong and ambitious character, even though she is just a ‘girl’.
